This Statement of Privacy applies to the ORIZO website, app and web portal; and governs data collection and usage. ORIZO collects personally identifiable information, such as your e-mail address, name, and telephone number.

 

Confidentiality of Personal Information

 

Any personal information gathered by ORIZO will be kept strictly confidential and will only be used by the app or web portal in undertaking the provision of maintenance services. We will never sell or rent any personal information collected from you to any third party. We will take special care to protect the privacy and security of your information.

The ORIZO app will only collect personally identifiable data, such as your name, e-mail address, room number and your self-created app password, when it is voluntarily submitted to the app. This information will be collected through our app registration process. This information is stored overseas on a database that is only accessed by the app development team, who are required to comply with the requirements of this statement. The database is protected by standard security protocols.

Staff at your university or school college can see your name, room number and e-mail address. This information may be used to email you in relation to the college and its day-to-day operations. Maintenance workers employed by the College will see your name and room number when they attend to the issue you reported. The use of this email facility is beyond the control of ORIZO and we invite you to consult the privacy policy of the college or organization you are using the ORIZO app with.

ORIZO web site and web portal

 

There is also information about your computer hardware and software that is automatically collected by ORIZO. This information can include: your IP address, browser type, domain names, access times and referring website addresses. This information is used by ORIZO for the operation of the service, to maintain the quality of the service, and to provide general statistics regarding use of the ORIZO website.

ORIZO encourages you to review the privacy statements of websites you choose to link to from ORIZO so that you can understand how those websites collect, use and share your information. ORIZO is not responsible for the privacy statements or other content on websites outside of the ORIZO and ORIZO family of websites.

ORIZO keeps track of the websites and pages our customers visit within ORIZO, in order to determine what ORIZO services are the most popular. This data is used to help us understand how you use the site and optimize the site for future customers.

Use of Web Storage

 

The ORIZO website may use Web Storage facilities such as Cookies, WebSQL, IndexedDB, LocalStorage or SessionStorage to help personalize your online experience. Web Storage places text files on your computer’s hard disk while the ORIZO website is running. Web Storage cannot be used to run programs or place a virus on your computer. Anything the ORIZO website stores is uniquely assigned to you and can only be read by the ORIZO website being served at the domain portal.orizo.com.au.

The main purpose of Web Storage is to cache large information sets from ORIZO to ensure that your user experience is fast. ORIZO also stores your session token and username so that when you return to the ORIZO website at any time, you are automatically logged in. Your password is never stored in Web Storage.

You have the ability turn off Web Storage. Most Web browsers allow Web Storage by default, but you can usually modify your browser setting to prevent this behavior if you wish. If you choose to not use Web Storage, you may not be able to experience all of ORIZO’s features.

Security of your Personal Information

 

ORIZO secures your personal information from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. ORIZO secures the personally identifiable information you provide on computer servers in a controlled, secure environment, protected from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. When personal information (such as a credit card number) is transmitted to other websites, it is protected through the use of encryption, such as the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol.
